Incoming chats are processed by a chat service. This routes the chat to the Chat Flow defined there.

Depending on the settings, the chat flow can answer the user's request without an agent having to intervene. Automated responses and dialog flows can be freely configured using the routing nodes available to you here and their arrangement.

---

### Creation of a chat flow

- Click ***Chat → Chat Flows*** in the menu bar. A list of existing routing plans will be displayed.
- This is how you add a new chat flow:
  - Click **Add**. The New Chat Flow page is displayed.
  - Enter the name of the chat flow (up to 100 characters). The name must be unique within the contact center.
  - Create a short description (up to 250 characters).
  - Click **Add**. The message "*The chat flow has not been defined yet.*" appears.
