With this node you can create simple DTMF menus. DTMF tones, or Dual Tone Multi-Frequency, is also known as multi-frequency dialing. The DTMF system is used to transmit messages such as the dialed number by means of tone frequencies produced by telephone keys.

DTMF menus are often colloquially referred to as **IVR menus**.

To set a digit key as an outgoing branch, an optional "key pressed" branch must be added. This can be added by right-clicking on the node name and selecting Add "Key pressed".

Click the "Key pressed" branch to set the parameters (name of the branch and the corresponding DTMF key).

The following branches can be set:

| **Branch** | **Number?** | **Type** | **Description** |
| --- | --- | --- | --- |
| Other Key Pressed | 1 | | Branch that is followed when another DTMF key is pressed (the pressed key does not correspond to any of the defined branches). |
| Timed Out | 1 | | Branch, which is followed when the time out is reached. |
| Key Pressed
Key | 0-20 | String | The corresponding DTMF key
**Note:** If required, this parameter can be set to *User-configurable* so that it can take a pre-configured value. |

Die folgenden Parameter können für den Knoten gesetzt werden:

| **Parameter** | **Number?** | **Type** | **Description** |
| --- | --- | --- | --- |
| *Options* | **Optional Parameters for the DTMF Node** |
| Prompt | 1 | AudioFile | The DTMF announcement to be played to the caller.
**Note: **If required, this parameter can be set to *User-configurable *so that it can take a pre-configured value. |
| Tone Audio | 1 | AudioFile | The sound file that will be played to the caller after the DTMF announcement is played (before the DTMF key is entered). If no audio file is specified but Play Tone is set to true, a "beep" is played.
**Note: **If required, this parameter can be set to *User-configurable* so that it can take a pre-configured value. |
| Play Tone | 1 | Boolean | Whether a tone is played after the DTMF announcement is played (before the DTMF key is entered) or not. (true or false). The default value is false (no sound is played).
**Note: **If required, this parameter can be set to *User-configurable* so that it can take a pre-configured value. |
| Timeout | 0 or 1 | Integer | The timeout (in seconds) when no DTMF digit is detected. The default value is 5 (seconds).
**Note: **If required, this parameter can be set to *User-configurable* so that it can take a pre-configured value. |
| Repeats | 1 | Integer | The maximum number of retries when the caller has not pressed a DTMF key and the DTMF key press timeout is reached. The default value is 2.
**Note: **If required, this parameter can be set to *User-configurable* so that it can take a pre-configured value. |
| Wrong Input Audio | 1 | AudioFile | The audio file that is played to the caller when he presses an invalid DTMF key.
**Note: **If required, this parameter can be set to *User-configurable* so that it can take a pre-configured value. |
| Wrong Input Repeats | 1 | Integer | The maximum possible attempts by the caller to press the DTMF key after pressing an invalid key. The default value is 2.
If this value is not set, the value specified for retries is used.
**Note: **If required, this parameter can be set to *User-configurable* so that it can take a pre-configured value. |
| Timed Out Audio | 1 | AudioFile | The announcement that is played to the caller if no DTMF digit is detected within the timeout period. In the default setting, no sound is played.
**Note: **If required, this parameter can be set to *User-configurable* so that it can take a pre-configured value. |

Integer = Whole number

Boolean = Truth value, *true* oder *false*
